Easter Holidays

Currently, the holidays not have finished yet, moreover I want to explain what I did these days. Actually, I haven't done anything important.

The first days were really good weather, so I spent some hours on the balcony or at the beach, sunbathing. These days were also good wind to go kitesurfing, but I must recognize that I was too lazy to do it. Every time it's exhausting and even I have been a long time without doing it, I don't want to do it during this week.

One afternoon I went with Núria and Sandra to St. Margarita and there we run into Julia and Alex (a friend of her). The other days I spent at home with my family, yesterday I went to Figueres with Mireia and Cristina and today I'm going to meet Clara.

By the way, my mother, Clara and I went to Verges to the Easter procession. It was a little bit chaotic because we didn't know very well how to arrive there; so we passed a lot of little villages in the middle of nowhere searching Verges. When we arrived, there were many people and we must park in a field. Then, we followed the crowd without really knowing where we should go.

Finally we rest in a street (called the snail street because there were hundert of (died) snails on the wall, prepared as a candle) were everybody was waiting and we supposed that there the procession would begin (at 12 o'clock). But no, we wait, and wait, and wait... (and we couldn't move because there were many people at this street keeping place) Finally, at one o'clock the procession arrives at us. It was long, with many people and we arrived home at 3:30 in the morning.

And these last days I will try to relax, meet someone and maybe go kitesurfing (I'm watching outside the window right now and the wind is coming... )

Becoming Jane

I have just seen the film "Becoming Jane", from 2007 (you can see the trailer if you click on the title of the film). The plot is about Jane Austers life, a kind of biography, with obviously some fiction details.

To sum up, Jane is a young woman in a "poor" family who likes writing. However, because of her bad economical situation her mother wants that she married someone rich. Several men try to ask her for marriage, but she refuses them. She felt in love with a "poor" lawyer and they try to run away, but at the last moment Jane decided that it would be bad for both.

Meanwhile, Jane is always writing and more or less after the half of the film she begins to write "Pride and Prejudice" and at the ending of the film she's a known writer.

I really like this film, as I like Pride and Prejudice too.

I have read several times the original version of the book in German, the short version which we read in English, an audio CD version of it (very popular in Germany, this one has about ten CD's! I always fall asleept after few chapters!) and about four times the film.

One of the critical receptions about the film is that the plot is very similar to "Pride and Perjudice", which is certainly true. However I don't think that this makes the film worse.

What's more, knowing the novel it's great to look the film because you always can find some details from Janes biography which are related to Pride and Prejudice.

For example, I recognize clearly Jane's (the novel character) sisters as Jane (the author). One of the Bennets sister is always reading, the nature from Lydia, always talking (like Jane's author cousin) and that she runs away with Wickham...

In my opinion it's a great book, even it needs a special attention to understanding the characters.

It's a well-known truth that... ( I love this beginning!)

You teenage years are the best years of your life!

It's often said that being a teenager is amazing and that nearly every adult would return to this age.

On the one hand, a teenager doesn't have to go work or get stressed for money. The most important duty from a teenager is to study and try to make his parents proud.

Moreover, it's awesome to relax at weekend and not take care about economic issues.

On the other hand, this pressure to be good at school and reach good marks is very demanding for students. What's more, the biology changes and the hormones makes it even more difficult for them.

To sum up, it's a good time because teenagers don't have to worry about a job or how to manage a family although they need to be good in what they are doing.

My sister's visit

These last two weeks my sister came from Germany to Spain to visit us.

She's currently studying biology in Marburg, a city near where we lived before we moved to Spain. I only see her about two or three times in one year. I will also go to Germany, but I want to come more times here to Empuriabrava because I really like being here. So, as I said, I only see my sister few times.

This time it was a little bit stressing because I wasn't often at home or hadn't time: it was Carnival and I also had lots of exams. Moreover, it was great to have she here, she helped me with the exams, we go together for a walk with the dog and meanwhile we spoke English! She and my mother always say that the correct pronunciation in English is very important and sometimes I must speak to her in English...

I went with her jogging! I go about two times a week, but she doesn't do it nearly never. So, I like it because I was better than her. What's more, she kept calm and I could encourage her to continue all the time. Next day she was angry with me because she had muscle ache!

I always like when she comes, but as I said, sometime it's stressing ;)

Fotocommunity

I'm going to talk about the web page Fotocommunity. It's an international organisation in five different language also in Spanish and Germany. There really are a lot of talented photographers, what's more, artists.

Nowadays Internet is the most important way to show your work or talent to everyone. It's said that Internet can be dangerous (specially because the copyright of images or other multimedia) but in my opinion, without it many famous people couldn't be known.

Fotocommunity has got there are differnt types of users, the lowest is free the others must be paid. One section which I like a lot is the Gallery: there are the best pictures from all the users. It's democratic: the photo with more votes and comments comes to the Gallery.

It's really nice to spend time watching these photos, but it's also very educational, you can learn a lot about technical from these pictures (there are the best between

millions).

Through this web page there are organized events and contests, where the photographers met each other to discuss photographie or look at exhibitions. The prizes to win a contest are really amazing, nearly every time it's a trip in a country in Africa or Asia (to took more great photos).

Travel

I always have dreamt about travelling a lot. I think that a trip in a country is more worth than an expensive car. The countries I would like to visit are Mexic and Australia.

Travel is forget your problems for a while, know new cultures, see amazing landscapes... I really would enjoy it.

At the moment I have been in Belgium, Italy, France and, obviously, Germany. I also have been in Egypt, but I was three or four years old, so I don't remember anything.

I like countries with beaches, sea or lakes. I'm really like being on the beach, my mother always remember that when we went to Spain for holidays and spend a day on the beach I was about two hours in the sea or more If I was allowed to be there. I don't like to trips only in the Mountains. Two or three days are okay, but more are not necessary. I also would like to visit big cities, even I have never been in one. Some weeks ago I discover that Berlin is eight times bigger than Barcelona! And from my point of view Barcelona it's very big.

TdR, my resarch project

The TdR is a research project which Catalan students do about one year. In first of batxillerat we chose the topic and the school give us a tutor. There must be a theoretical and a practical part.

After finished it, you also must make an oral presentation in front of three teachers.

My paper is a study of psychology and consumption, trying to explain how and why people buy what they buy.

I have researched how the purchase decisions work and which psychology factors have an influence on the customers.

Using different experiments it is shown that unconscious factors play an important role and can also change the perception of the taste of a product.

I hope this resarch paper helps readers reflect about their consumptions' habits and make purchasing decisions with greater critical awareness.

In the final mark I have reached a nine and I'm proud of it. However, this year the marks are very high (there are nearly twenty people between nine and ten!) and the teachers are happy with our results.

Gregorio, philosopher

At the last Friday before Christmas holidays we went to Figueres to an event called: Jornada de Filosofia. There comes students at the same age as us to talk about philosophies, particulary about the idea of progress. Some days before we also watched a movie which talked about this topic.

I must recognize: it was bored. I expected more from this day. We went there in the morning, divide us in different groups and begin to talk. Or we supposed to do. Nearly nobody said anything, I was lucky because I was in the same group with two friends of mine from Figueres.

Later there was a debate, then on student of each school read a self written text and all of them were very long and seemed more a history class like a philosophies text.

Finally there came Gregorio. Albert, our philosophies teacher introduce him and then Gregoria begun to talk and talk and talk and talk.

Sure, it was interesting, otherwise we had already talked a lot of hours about the same topic.

Some interesting points were when he talked about Epicurus, a famous philosopher which quotes has been discovered recently on a wall of a city which was constructed centuries late. Here is one of his quotes: He who is not satisfied with a little, is satisfied with nothing.

Another comparison, from Gregorio, which I remember was the similiarity from humans with Titanic. He said that the whole history is like the ship and their wisdom is like the part you can see from an iceberg. But the other, enormous part we don't see is all the knowledge and the progress we need to do still. This is a disturbing image from humanity, but maybe it's the right.

Christmas: Germany vs. Spain

Merry Christmas!

Some weeks ago I went to visit my grandmother in Germany. Since we have moved to Spain I had never returned being there on Christmas time. I was surprised, on the beginnings of December, the shops were full of Christmas decoration and everybody was shopping presents.

Here, in Spain, I didn't realise that in some weeks was Christmas. I was surprised to find out that on Saturday after finish school was Christmas!

I think that in Germany Christmas is too much. They begin in November selling Christmas products and for this reason people spend a lot of money to buy presents or decoration for their houses. Of course, it's nice to see nearly the whole village with Christmas lights, otherwise it isn't necessary. How my friend Mancilla would say: capitalism. And I agree with him. Of course I like to receive presents, but it isn't the most important on Christmas. Every year suggest myself that I would do anything interesting or meet my friends. And every year it's the same: I stay at home - without doing anything for nearly the whole first week of the holidays. That's my Christmas present: no stress for a while!

Well, now I'm saying all this, but I'm sure that in a few weeks I want to be in Girona or Barcelona shopping... At least, I wait until sold out after the sixth of January and not buy them before for the double price "only" to have a Christmas present.

Final reflection

I think this year I have learnt better how to write. At the beginning of the year I often wrote without sense, just the way that I thought the phrases, so I wrote them. But now I have learnt to review my compositions and to respect the order of subject + verb and complements. I know that sometimes I still do these mistakes, but I have decrease them.

I think that the activity which best shows my level of English are the oral presentation. In my opinion, it's good that I can talk as normally, with easy words, but I can make me understand. If I don't know a specially word I try to find some other which has the same meaning.

During the year we have done a lot of activities. Some which have really help me improve English are some photocopies, the Grammar Book and the separate activities in Aula d'Idionemes.

The photocopies are useful to know some things like writing a composition, how to write a letter... these are things which will be useful for a long time.

The Grammar Book and the Aula d'Idiomes help me understand and to expand the topics that we were doing in class. When I didn't understand some things, in this hour I could ask it to the teacher.

But I also think that in the Aula d'Idiomes we don't work very much. For example, I don't think that watching a film with Spanish subtitles are good to learn English. I also didn't like read the books, they are always very bored and easy storys which aren't interesting.

In my opinion, the blog is too much work for only 1 point in the final mark. A lot of people said that they won't do the blog ("it's only one point"!). I think that for these people who really do the blog (and do it well) it would be fairer if the blog count more.

I also think that it's more important to finish the text book, doing the grammar and this kind of important things instead doing readings. Since I'm in high school I never have finished an English book at school, I usually finished it at home. I don't think that this is the best way to learn English.

Spanish rebellion

In this last "my say" I think it's necessary to talk about the Spanish rebellion. I know that's maybe more a new, but I need to talk about that. One hour ago I have seen the video of the violence of the police in Barcelona, with this comment of one friend of mine:

(the video) --> the guy with the red t-shirt and glasses is my cousin. Now, he is hospitalized he has injured his leg and he has lost a tooth. He isn't uncontrolled, he is an engineer!

After watch it, I nearly began to cry.

I don't understand how a politician can give this command to the police. It must be terrible to hit womens or young people. I simply don't understand this. There are many other ways to come to an agreement.

As my father said: it seems like in Egypt. And yes, it's true. But is Spain not "bette" than Egypt? Here, there is a democracy, freedom and the humane rights. All the things that make the European system better than the dictatorships. But is there a real democracy? I don't think that in a country where the people can't protest against politicians are a fair country.

I hope there will not be more fights between the people and the police, I find it very sad that this seemed to be the only way to resolve this problem.

The people only request their rights, the right of a good future (in a country which hasn't an unemployment about a 20%).

Film review

Eagle Eye is a 2008 thriller film directed by D. J. Caruso and starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan. The two portray a young man and a single mother who are brought together and coerced by an anonymous caller into carrying out a plan by a possible terrorist organization. The film was released in regular 35mm theaters and IMAX theatres.

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf), a young man who works in a copy shop, returns to his village when his brother dies in an “accident”. When he returns to his flat in the city he found a lot of terrorist material. Then he received a call, and a voice said what he had to do, how to escape from the police, in which train he had to go…

On the other hand, Rachel (Michelle Monaghan) after seeing off his children also received a call. The voice said that she had to follow the instruction or the train where her son was would blow up.

Both, Jerry and Rachel, follow the instruction while they are followed by the police.

The end is very strange, the voice isn’t a human being.

In my opinion it’s a very good film. It’s exactly what could happen in the future. It was very strange to see how computers can influence in our life. It’s a computer who has got the whole information about a country (USA) and went crazy because he was angry with the supervisors. The technology has got power over everything.

It was also frightening to see what the internet and all the technology knows about you.
There is one scene where Jerry doesn’t want to continue. Then the “voice” shows him all the things that she knows about him: when he was born, where, how many times he failed an exam, private videos, where he has been living, what he has bought in the last ten years, where he had been working, his illnesses… Everything!

The computer can also control him, through the cameras which are everywhere.
I find that very dangerous, the fact that every good computer “hacker” can learn all this information about a person.

I would recommend this film, it has got a lot of negative critics, saying that it’s a boring and impossible plot, but I don’t think so. I think that it’s a film which makes you think a lot about yourself and the activities you are doing in the Internet.

The house of my dreams

Since I was little I have thought about my perfect house which I will have in the future.

The most important thing is the ceiling over the bed. It will be like a window, to be able to look at the stars. In the summer I like to sleep on the balcony a lot to be able to look at the sky. It would be great If I could do this every day, even when it's raining.

It will be next to a lake, sea or the ocean. I like hearing the sound of waves and I also like all water sports. I will have a sailing boat, especially for my father who has been sailing since he was five years.

Obviously, there will be a heated swimming pool in a big garden. I like swimming, even when the water is cold. I also like gardens, but I don't like doing this work, so probably I will have a gardener.

A gym is also important; it's great to have the machines at home and not to have to leave home If you want to do sport. But I don't want a personal trainer; I think sport is more fun if you are with friends or in a group. When you do sport alone it's good to disconnect from all the problems you have.

If I had children they would have an enormous bedroom, but I don't want to give them all they want. If I did this, they would be arrogant and selfish people.

I will have animals, a dog and some cats. I like cats because they are very autonomous. On the other hand, dogs are the opposite they are very dependable.

Film: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Summary:

In 2005, Daisy, an elderly woman, is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. Daisy asks her daughter, Caroline, to read aloud from the diary of Benjamin Button.

In 1918, a boy is born with the appearance and physical maladies of a very elderly man. The baby's mother dies shortly after giving birth, and the father, Thomas Button, abandons the infant on the porch of a nursing home. Queenie and Mr. "Tizzy" Weathers, who work at the nursing home, find the baby, and Queenie decides to care for him as her own.

In 1930, 12-year-old Benjamin, having exchanged a wheelchair for crutches, befriends six-year-old Daisy, whose grandmother lives in the nursing home. As Benjamin's body grows younger, he accepts work on a tugboat. Benjamin also meets Thomas Button, who does not reveal that he is Benjamin's father. In 1936, Benjamin leaves New Orleans with the tugboat crew for a long-term work engagement.

In 1945, Benjamin returns to New Orleans, and learns that 21-year-old Daisy has become a successful ballet dancer. Benjamin again crosses paths with Thomas Button, who, terminally ill, reveals that he is Benjamin's father. Thomas wills Benjamin his possessions before he dies.

Daisy's dance career is ended in Paris in 1957, when she is hit by a taxi cab and breaks her leg. When Benjamin goes to see her, Daisy is amazed at his youthful appearance, but frustrated at her own injuries; she tells him to stay out of her life. In 1962, Daisy returns to New Orleans and reunites with Benjamin. Now of comparable physical age, they fall in love and move in together.

Daisy gives birth to a girl, Caroline in 1968. Benjamin, believing he cannot be a father figure to his daughter due to his reverse aging, sells his belongings, and leaves the proceeds to Daisy and Caroline. He travels the world alone during the 1970s.

Benjamin, appearing to be in his early twenties, returns to Daisy in 1980. Now re-married, Daisy introduces Benjamin to her husband and daughter as a family friend. Daisy then visits Benjamin at his hotel, where they share their passion for each other. Daisy admits that Benjamin was right to leave; she could not have coped otherwise. Benjamin departs again.

In 1991, Daisy receives a phone call from social workers. They have found Benjamin — now apparently about 12 years old — living in a condemned building, and have contacted her because they found her name in his diary. The bewildered social workers say that his condition resembles dementia. Daisy moves into the nursing home where Benjamin grew up and takes care of him as he becomes increasingly younger, until, physically an infant, he dies in Daisy's arms. Benjamin's story now told, Daisy dies in her New Orleans hospital bed, as Hurricane Katrina approaches.

The film was very long. I saw it last Sunday, together with my sister. At the beginning I didn't like it because it was the typically scene: an old women in a hospital. But I remember that I really wanted to see the film, so we continued watched it. After a half hour I began to like it, it's a complicate story and it makes you think about the world.

I mean, what would happened if the same thing passed to me? I think that the film is really good for that reason, it's a film where the most important things happen at the end and it is in the last minutes when you understand all the movie. I really like this kind of films.

Music

Music is an art from whose medium is sound.

That's the first sentences of the definition from Wikipedia, but I think it's more than that. I my opinion music has a lot of power.

I think it's incredible how can chance your mood when you listen to a song, or also make music yourself.

I find it great that with some songs I can cry. If I was a singer I think that's one of the most emotional sensations: knowing that you have received someone with the song, the rhythm, the music and the lyrics.

For me, songs are memories. There are nearly always a song who identifys your currently mood or situation. I also like to relate songs with people. Then, when I hear this song on the radio I remember this person or the special moment, the reason that I relate the song with them.

I like nearly all types of music, but specially pop-rock: the typical music from the radio. One thing I nearly ever do is search more songs from the artist, from this one song who is in the radio. I often find songs who never are in the radio, from the same artist, and they are great. Sometimes I search on American web pages and I look what they hear there. It has happened often to me that on this way I knew a song and two months later I hear it on the radio like "the new song!"- I find it funny!

I of course, I like to make and listen to music in direct. My only problem is that I can't sing (but I do it equally...), and for this reason I have learned to play the guitar. I can't play very well because I have taught it to myself, but for me it's enough. Sometimes, when I'm very stressed I begin to play and after all it's better.

Here are some links from my (currently) favourite songs:

Drift away - Uncle Kracker

F**K you - Cee Lo Green

Els amics de les arts

Raise your glass - P!nk

Time

These days my calender are always full. This week is the week of exams. Well, it isn't the week, it's the week when the exams begins. This is a big difference!
Yesterday I had the English exam and it was more difficult like ever before. The exams used to be, normal, not easy to do, but easy to understand and short. This exam was the opposite: it was long, difficult and the listening was difficult to understand. We will see what happens.
And today it was the same thing with Spanish: Yesterday, I have studied all the afternoon but when the teacher gave me the exam I was shocked: I didn't know nearly nothing! This was my first impression, but then I began to read all very careful and I began to do the exam. But it was also very long, I didn't have time to finish it.
And at last, the exam of biology from the whole first term! It's a exam from more than 120 pages!
And the next week physic and Catalan, in two weeks chemistry... it's horrible.

I'm trying to organize me well and I think the most of the time I reached it, but sometimes I'm too lazy to do anything. I think I can planing good my work, but if this doesn't work, my second option is a sentence who my father always say : we are better under pressure

Self evaluation

Here are myself evaluation about my oral presentation:

I think it was a little bit too short, I have talked only the three minutes what we have to talk. Nearly all the others talked more time, about five minutes, but I think I have manage it in the time what we have to do.
For me, my PowerPoint was good because there aren't too much information and sentences, only the essential and important things and there were a lot of photos.
From my pronunciation... I think that I have talked correctly, with some grammatical mistakes, but I think that even so I was more or less good. I didn't look to my paper and notes and for that reason I forget one point of my oral presentation, but it wasn't very important.
At the beginning I felt nervous, but later I began to talk like I was talking to a friend, I only forget few times a word.

In conclusion I think that my presentation was a little bit short, but I talked calmly and explained my photos and my topic very well.

Book: The adoration of Jenna Fox

I used to be someone.
Someone named Jenna Fox.
That's what they tell me. But I am more than a name. More than they tell me. More than the fact and statistics they fill me with. More than the video clips they make me watch.
More. But I'm not sure what.

That's how the book begun, called The adoration of Jenna Fox. I read it some months ago. It was a present from my aunt (she works in a big library in Germany) and she always sends me books because she knows that I like a lot to read German books.

Here is a little summerazig from the book:

Jenna Fox has been told that she has had an accident and was in a coma for a year. Now, she’s awake, but she doesn’t remember her old life at all. In fact, she had to re-learn a lot; she had to learn to smile, to walk. She’s seen home videos of her life, but she’s don't remember it. She doesn’t have any of her old belongings. Her family moved from Boston to California, and she is not in contact with anyone except her parents and grandmother.

There are some holes in the story she’s been told, and Jenna really starts to wonder. Not just about her life before the accident, but about the accident and what happened after.

Later, she discover that she is a type of "clone" made with the memories from her (and two other friends who died in these accident), but not with her body. She discover that because she was playing in the garden and she hurt herself, and instead to see blood she saw metal. That's the reason from the book cover.

The title in German means like: two and the same. I think it's a more appropiate title that in English.

I really like this book because at the beginning you don't know what has happened, you only know the same things like Jenna. There are a lot of emotions, I cried a lot while I was reading, specially in the scene when Jenna discover that she is like a doll, made from her parents and that her friends are dead, but their memories are still in some kind of computer.

It's also a critic on the society or which want to be the society in the future, and especially the biology technology, like these things: made clones, keep memories on a computer, or the decision what's is ethic and what not.

My future

My future... I didn't know what to do when I finish the "batxillerat". Nearly everybody know yet what they want to study, but I don't have a concrete idea from what to do.

I'm doing the cientific- batxillerat, I don't know why. I think I do it because I have done physic and biology last year and I like it. But the problem is that I also like history, or music or language (with writing). But finally I choose the scientific. But what I want to do? I don't know, I like very different careers, and I want to explain why:

- Publicity: because I always like adversiment and admire all the people who are working and thinking it to promote a product. The "projecte de recerca" in part I have done it also from publicity; the publicity of Coca-Cola. I think it's artistic and cientific too because you must have a great idea, but also search and study the kind of people for how is made this publicity.

This year we are going to the University and I have choosen this subject to know more about it and the career.

- Psicologoly: I think it's very interessting. I hope that next year I can do it. In second of batxillerat you can choose this subject, but I depend of the year it changes with maths or physic. If it changes with maths, I'm going to change it because this year it's going really bad for me in maths. I think it could be great to do psycology and can study who or why we think like we are thinking. But I don't want to be the typical psycolog from the film who helps the other people with their problems. I prefer to do the more "scientific" part, investigate in the society in general. I also want to go the talk on the University.

- Photography: it's one of my biggest hobby. I only have a normal digital camera, but I think it's the photographer who made the photo, and not the camera. This, said to me my ph

otographer teacher with whom I did a course what during about one month. And since that I knew a lot of tricks how to make a great picture with a normal camera. I love to go with the bicycle on a Sunday morning, go to the "Aiguamolls" and do photos there.

I prefer photos for the nature, landscape or seaside. I don't like to much do photos of people, except if it's from a person in concrete, doing portrairt from them.

With this interestings the most normal would that I choose the artistic batxillerat, but I think that if you go to the artistic, you must be very great in something, have some specially talent in theater, sing or playing an instrument. And I can't sing, I feel very nervous when I'm doing theater, and I only play the guitar.

So I have choosen the cientific because I prefer the way to study from the social and humanistic batxillerat.

It also could be possible that if I finish the school and didn't know yet what to study that I go at some other country to work and to travel. I want to go to the USA (California), Mexic and Australia. I also want to go at these places because this is a great place to do kitesurf.

It would be a big wish and dream for me to be some day famoue in kitesurf competitions and travel around the world to participate there.

So, in conclusion my future (at the moment) maybe would be a psycolog and marketing, travel around the world to do kitesurf and made photos there.

Paul the World Cup octopus dies

Paul the Octopus was a common octupus rom England, who lived in a tank at a Sea Life Center in Germany.Paul became internationally famous for correctly predicting the winner of each of Germany's seven matches at the 2010 Wordl Cup, as well as the final.

Now, Paul has died. He was two-and-half years old, and I think he was a real phenomeon. He enthused people across every continent.
The first time I saw him on the German TV, and only two days later I saw news in the Internet (in spanish and english). I was surprised that everyone knows about him. And at the school everybody know him too, and talk about what he predict for a match. After a few days, ther were a lot of groups in Facebook, he was on every TV programm or news... He really becomes famous very fast! In wikipedia are definitons about him in more than 40 languages!!!
There was a funny detaill too, that when Paul predicted the win from Germany vs. Argentina, there in a cook-show, cooks a recipe with an octopus! They were angry with Paul...

I think the people were so fascinated because he could preview nearly every match correctly. Paul begun his career before the FIFA, but nearly nobody knows. In 2008 he predict the UEFA Europe, and only fail two matches from the six who playes Germany.
But in 2010 he preview ALL matches from Germany good!

The question is: how could he make that?
At the beggining I thought that this was only conscidence, that he was very lucky to choose the recipient with the flag, but then I view that he was always alright. Can this only be luck? But if the answer is no, how managed he it?

An octopus is intelligent as a two-year-old child, he can plan and anticipate play, act and play. But even so, no two-year-old child can preview all the matches right: how did Paul do this?
Every newspaper around the world asked this same thing: The Washington Post Paul assumed a clairvoyant abilities, "Le Monde" spoke of virtually unbeatable predictions and The Japanese AFP Paul assumed a possible unreliability before the England game.

After the World Cup and during his long life (for a octopus the lifetime is about 1 year), he had changed a lot of things, and because him there desenvoloup a lot of funny historys:

-
An municipality in Spain collected 30,000 euros to buy Paul. This should Paul be presented as an attraction of the local octopus festival. The same village appointed Paul on 13 July 2010 an honorary citizen of the city.

- Industry Minister Miguel Sebastián and Environment Minister Elena Espinosa suggested to bring him to Spain, "so that the Germans him not eat."

- In China media reports of Paul have created a culinary wave. The consumption of cephalopods, squid, such as octopus in Asia had grown rapidly. They also madea film, who comes in cinemas this year called: Kill octopus Paul.

-The community of Marina di Campo Elba has decided in October 2010, to name a street "Via Paul Polpo (octopus Paul Street).

And now, since the 3th November there are Paul II! We will see if he can predict like Paul... :)
